Workington Academy – Year 6-7 Pre-Admission Evening – Wednesday 6 May 2020 – Postponed
As you are aware our Year 7 Pre-Admission Evening was due to take place on Wednesday 6 May and we were also due to host further transition events for you to attend at Workington Academy throughout May and June. Unfortunately, due to the current UK restrictions on movement, social distancing and school closures, we are currently unable to proceed with these events. Please be assured that as soon as we are able to offer any opportunities for you to visit Workington Academy we will do so. In the meantime all Year 6 students joining Workington Academy in September will receive further information via post in the next few days and more comprehensive transition information in the coming weeks, that will provide you with lots of essential and practical information about starting at Workington Academy. Please be assured that that we are continuing to work hard behind the scenes in close conjunction with all of our feeder primary schools to ensure that everything is in place to welcome our new ‘Team Year 7’ to Workington Academy, just as soon as we can.
If you have not already done so, please do return your child’s admission forms and student profile questionnaire to our main office as soon as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact Miss Tweddle at Workington Academy, if you have any questions or queries about anything at all.
